STEPHANIE MCMANN

Stephanie is a dance artist from London. She studied at De Montfort University, then at London Contemporary Dance School, graduating in 2011. She has worked predominantly as a performer/collaborator with dance artists and makers including long-term collaborator Roberta Jean (mysteryskin), Dan Canham (Still House), Damien Jalet, Hussein Chalayan, Seke Chimutengewende, Maresa Von Stockert (Tilted Productions), Sally Doughty, New Art Club, Jamila Johnson-Small, Joe Moran and Alex Reynolds (World War Z) amongst others.

While continuing to work on her solo practice, Stephanie is also a performance/rehearsal director for dance, theatre and circus companies across the UK, as well as currently establishing a movement-direction/mentoring practice for independent dance makers and within the fashion industry.  Stephanie is currently a Sadler's Wells Summer University artist under Jonathan Burrows and teaches professionally across the UK and France. As of 2016, she is co-artistic director of the dancer-led commissioning project Nora with Eleanor Sikorski and Flora Wellesley Wesley. She is also currently developing a duet practice in collaboration with Laura Dannequin for a new work ‘Making Each Other Possible’.
