Rike Zollner

Rike, born into a line of dressmakers, began her journey into costume design at an early age. Originally from Germany, she gained a BA in Performing Arts and Literature at the Université de Toulouse. During her time in France she co-founded and designed for a performance company, whilst also assisting and learning from veteran costume designers. In 2014 she graduated with an MA in costume design from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where she developed her interest in costumes that accentuate and respond to the performers movements. She has since gone on to design for Opera, film and theatre but is always drawn to physicality, spontaneity and the fleeting condition of live performance. In the dance world she has worked with names such as NDCW, Motionhouse, Kerry Nicholls, Nofitstate, Eleesha Drennan, and Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch.
